We believe that the local church is God’s primary vehicle to enable, empower, and develop the believer to mature, serve, and build up the body of Christ to expand God’s Kingdom (Ephesians 4:11-13). Paul declares in Romans 12:6, “that we all have gifts differing according to the grace that is ‘given to us’.” It is our mission at First Missionary Baptist Church to establish an environment that will nurture spiritual growth, identity, and develop the believer’s gifts, talents, purpose and place in the body of Christ, all of which will strengthen and promote depth to the ministry as a whole and advocate unity with Christ and His church.
We are not just different people in a sanctuary, but different parts of Christs’ body, all working in unison, allowing Christ to live through us as we become a wonderful and awesome contact for others to experience God’s love. As we awaken to the glorious and most gracious calling to serve Him through our gifting, celebrate with us as the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit enables this body to reflect His love and truth to this community.
